1'000'000'000 people are threatened by climate change, because of rising Sea levels. If we don't stop global warming now, these will be the next refugees! But this can be prevented, if we act now!
Let's take action in:
100 coastal cities like Sydney, Mombasa, Durban, Hong Kong, Miami, Barcelona etc. - they are all threatened by waves of rising Sea levels. Let's connect the EV people, schools and climate activists here for a one-day local WAVE. Because together, we are stronger!
1'000'000 school children in 100 coastal cities of this world will be taught by local climate activists about global warming. Each pupil will then write a climate comittment on a piece of paper: what he or she will do to stop his/her own CO2 emissions, like planting a tree, or reducing the temperature of their apartment in the winter, saving energy with light saving bulbs etc.
Collect the comittments:
Local EVs or bicycles will collect the comittments in one school after another. Schools, give them a warm welcome! Finally the cards will be laid out in front of the city house (or any other, well known place), invite the press to show the contribution of the children in each city. At the end, the posters will be shipped by surface mail to Bremerhaven, Germany.
The WAVE TROPHY:
100 electric vehicles will pick up those 100 boxes from 100 cities in Bremerhaven and transport them to United Nations in Geneva, on 10th June.
The World Record:
At United Nationas, on the Place des Nations, these cards will be laid-out on June 17, forming the largest card mosaic of the world. We want to reach the nations of this world with a simple message: Future generations are comitted to reduce CO2. It's their future! More comittment is needed!
Our Ambassadors are connecting the world. Most of them are based in Switzerland and Germany, and they work with email and skype, to make the WAVE roll...
Electric vehicle enthusiasts are invited to present their cars at the schools, in order to educate the future generations about electric mobility, and to collect the climate comittments. They make sure that the climate comittments get to Geneva in an environmentally friendly way.
Schools are invited to participate in the programme, to educate their pupils about global warming and to be part of a world-wide movement of our future generations. The WAVE is requesting almost no preparatory works of the teachers, but offers a great experience for all.
Local NGOs are also invited to be part of the WAVE. They can open doors and teach the children about global warming and their personal comittments. Through the WAVE, they will get exposure for their own projects and causes.
Each WAVE is set up in cooperation between the WAVE Ambassador, the local EV entusiasts, the local schools and local activists.
